Disco Estereo is a growing concept. The first Monday of every month we focus on bringing you a listening experience from around the world while focusing on the origins of dance music through disco. All music is presented on vinyl through the beautifully conceived sound system at Estereo. "Brian Borden (Sound On Sound) is a more than familiar name in the DJ community, in Chicago. He holds an extensive knowledge of music, both past and present. His raw skills, and tactile motions make it worth the attendance. You can expect a variation of genres included in any given set, but he is a true fan of House Music, and this is definitely included within his repertoire. Hands on experience began in 1983, for this Veteran, and his first club opportunity was with the legendary, Medusa’s. (Circa 1991) Brian’s specialties are House Music, and Disco. Hard or soft, his music speaks to paint a picture. Often, adding Italo-Disco, New-Wave, Jazz, Afro, Blues, and just about anything else left-field, if possible. This technique is best described as “seasoning”. Music selections are carefully made for each DJ set, and calculated by setting, and space. Brian is a DJ who can play for a driving crowd, or one that is a little more intimate and cozy."
