With her limitless capacity, she is able to examine various genres critically, while delivering an unforgettable experience. ABOUT VOL. 39 Located on the second floor of The Kimpton Gray Hotel, Vol. 39 is a sophisticated lobby bar that offers an extensive high-end wine and spirits program, curated by Head Bartender Jess Lambert and Sommelier Lauren Parton, in addition to modern takes on fine dining from Executive Chef Nick Sutton. The nearly 1,500 square foot bar area seats 65 and delivers table-side cart service in a stylish and refined lounge atmosphere. The name is inspired by a trove of vintage encyclopedias that were discovered inside the property during renovations. The volumes were since repurposed and used to decorate the surrounding walls of the bar. The motif of Vol. 39 serves as a callback to the building’s original materials, which showcase the authentic grandeur that was often found at the turn of the century. Vol. 39 is located at 39 S.
